coffee in Rutherglen Victoria. We meticulously source every coffee that we present
and skilfully roast it to showcase its best potential. We are on an endless pursuit of perfection and enjoy every minute of the journey. We are blessed to be in this industry and enjoy taking you on that adventure with us.

Meet the Family

The Perry family are second generation hospitality business owners. Ross and Kay Perry started Valentines bakery in 1990 specialising in artisan sourdough (before it was trendy). They then went on to establish Olive Hills Estate in 1999, a dry land vineyard and winery, producing high quality low yielding wines. In 2014 Harry Perry Established White Owl Coffee Merchants focusing on suppling the Albury Wodonga region with specialty coffee. The Perry Group was formed in 2017 by all 5 Perrys and these businesses were purchased by the Perry Group. As Perry Group has grown we remain a family business, family is at our core. Blood is thicker than coffee.

Meet Our Coffee Man

Joe Perry is the head of Coffee at White Owl, he is part owner and his sole focus is coffee. From sourcing coffee, roasting, bagging and delivering he is across all jobs. He loves the coffee industry; from cutting his teeth behind the machine brewing coffees at 15 to now running the roasting operation and traveling to origin to source coffee.

Our roaster

We roast our coffee 105 Fraser Rd Rutherglen on a 60kg Brambatti. The Brambatti 60kg coffee roaster is a robust and high-capacity machine designed for artisanal and commercial coffee roasting operations. Crafted with precision and innovation, this roaster is an emblem of quality and efficiency in the world of coffee roasting. The Brambatti 60kg roaster incorporates state-of-the-art roasting technology, empowering roasters to fine-tune the roasting process. Temperature, airspeed, and drum rotation are meticulously controlled, allowing for the creation of a diverse range of roast profiles to suit various coffee varieties. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, this roaster optimizes heat transfer to the beans, ensuring uniform roasting while minimizing energy consumption. The roaster's insulation and airflow management contribute to its eco-friendly and sustainable operation.
